Designed to enhance productivity and efficiency for academics and professionals, it simplifies manuscript development, submission, and dissemination processes. With MANTRAC, academic institutions and professional organizations can easily view the submission status and publication count of their members in one central location, providing a clear overview of progress and output.
· Sign Up: Click on the “Sign Up” button located on the top right corner of the homepage.
· Enter Your Details: Fill in the required fields, including your name, email address, and password. Click “Submit.”
· Verify Your Email: Check your email for a verification link. Click the link to activate your account.
Logging In
· Go to the Login Page: Click on the “Login” button on the homepage.
· Enter Your Credentials: Input your email address and password.
· Click “Login”: You will be redirected to your dashboard.
Dashboard Overview
· Manuscript: This section includes user profile access, a list of published articles, research statistics, followed journals, saved items, manuscripts in development, manuscript status, annual publication goals, and success rates.
· Journal Finder: Simplifies the process of finding the right journal for publication by using keywords or abstracts.
· Main Area: Shows manuscript productivity rates, total citations, and h-index.
· Notifications: Provides updates and notifications from other MANTRAC users.
2. Main Features
Profile
· Business Card: Provides a concise summary of the user’s degree, current position, institution, research interests, skills, and profile photo.
· About Me: Includes a brief biography, skills, expertise, publication goals, and the main language(s) the user can speak or write, along with proficiency levels.
· Experience: Displays a chronological list of the user’s work history, including current and previous roles, responsibilities, and achievements.
· Featured Research: Showcases a list of articles published by other users.
Research
· Publication List: Displays a list of articles published by users.
· Upload and Edit: Users can upload the PDF versions of their articles and update their publication list by clicking the edit button.
· Article Management: Users can read, print, download, and share their articles on LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook.
· Delete Articles: Users can delete selected articles from their list.
Stats
· Manuscript Productivity Rate: Users can track their productivity rate, which is the number of manuscripts published compared to those under development. This shows the extent to which a user is efficient in turning manuscript in progress to journal publication.
· Article Reads: Users can view the number of reads for their articles.
· Total Citations: Users can see the total number of citations their work has received to date.
· Publication and Manuscript Development Graph: A graphical display shows the number of manuscripts published and those under development for each year.
Following
· Number of Followers: Displays the total number of followers.
· View Followers’ Profiles: Allows users to view the profiles of their followers.
· Follow/Unfollow: Users can follow or unfollow other users as desired.
Saved List
· Saved Articles: Displays the total number of articles saved by users.
· Followed Articles: Lists articles that users follow, with options to delete, download, print, or share them.
· Read Counts: Shows the number of reads for each followed article.
Manuscripts Under Development: Displays the number of manuscripts users are currently working
· Add Manuscript: Allows users to add new manuscripts and provide details such as proposed title, status (e.g., not yet submitted, accepted for publication), priority, start and due dates, visibility (public or private), description, and attachment of the draft manuscript in Word or PDF.
· Manage Manuscripts: Users can add co-authors, change manuscript status (e.g., not started, in progress, completed), and download or edit the manuscript.
Manuscript Status: Tracks the number of manuscripts submitted to various journals and their status.
· Manuscripts Under Review: Lists manuscripts currently under review at different journals, including details such as manuscript title, publication type, visibility (public or private), status (under review, accepted for publication, rejected), initial submission date, PDF attachment, description, journal name, and journal editor’s email address.
· Details Table: Provides a table showing all manuscript details for easy view and reference.
· Manage Submissions: Users can edit, update, and delete manuscript information as needed.
Annual Publication Goal
· Graphical Display: Shows a visual representation of the manuscript target, published manuscripts, and cumulative publications by month.
· Publication Table: Provides a table detailing the manuscript target, published manuscripts, and cumulative publications for each month.
Manuscript Success Rate
· Graphical Display: Shows a comparison of the number of manuscripts published out of those submitted for journal review, alongside the rates of other MANTRAC users.
· Percentile Rank Table: Provides a detailed table displaying the user’s percentile rank and complementary percentile rank compared to other MANTRAC users.
